COVID-19 Risk Mitigation

We’ve thought of everything so you don’t have to worry about anything.

While the coronavirus pandemic has changed many things, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety.

Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice. Our processes are designed so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable.

We strictly adhere to American Dental Association (ADA), U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines to safeguard your health while you receive dental care in our office. These organizations have issued special guidance in light of COVID-19.

Here are some of the changes you will notice while this pandemic is ongoing:

  • Wellness Screenings – Our office will communicate with you 7-10 days before your appointment to ask about your current health and travel. We will ask these questions again when you arrive for your appointment.
  • Curbside Virtual Waiting Room – Call or text our office when you arrive for your appointment and wait in your car until your provider is ready for you. Whenever possible, patients should come alone while companions remain in the car or at home.
  • Face Masks – Please arrive wearing a mask over your mouth and nose. Face masks will be worn by everyone in the office at all times except when active dental treatment is occurring.
  • Temperature Screenings – We will take your temperature with a touchless thermometer when you arrive for your appointment.
  • Safer Waiting Room – We have removed all toys, magazines, and some of the chairs from the waiting room to facilitate social distancing and reduce items that are difficult to disinfect.
  • Virtual Consultations – We have increased our capacity to provide virtual consultations, in many cases reducing the need for an appointment.
  • Paperless Forms – Our new secure digital forms allow you to complete all the required paperwork from your personal smartphone without the need to disinfect clipboards or pens.
  • Contactless Payments – We have implemented a new payment processor that allows you to make your payments safely and securely without the need to touch a keypad or pass a credit card or pen.
  • Staff Safety – All staff members will be health screened twice daily and kept safe while working with personal protective equipment (PPE) that meets or exceeds guidance.

We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you safe in our practice.
