A Message from Dr. Ruhlig

The rapidly evolving coronavirus pandemic has impacted nearly all facets of life as we know it. As a dental office, we come alongside people every day who are experiencing high levels of fear and anxiety. We fully understand the power of these emotions and like you we look forward to the day when this pandemic is behind us.

In an effort to do our part to stop the spread of COVID-19, to protect the health and safety of our patients, visitors, and staff, and to preserve essential masks and gloves for hospitals, Huron Dentistry is currently closed for all non-essential dental services. We do not have timeline for reopening, but will continue to monitor the situation and remain aware of all updates from relevant agencies and advisory associations. This closure is in accordance with the latest guidance from the Michigan Dental Association, the American Dental Association, and by Executive Order of the Governor of Michigan.

How to contact us from the safety of your home

Huron Dentistry has invested in a state of the art communications and technology platform that allows us to securely access your charts and answer your phone calls, voicemails, and text messages remotely. Dr. Ruhlig will be available to provide tele-dentistry services as needed. If you are experiencing an acute dental emergency, please reach out to our office phone line at (734) 434-6020 and we will get you the care you need.

Additionally, we are advising everyone to limit face-to-face interpersonal interactions outside your home, perform good hand washing practices, and be aware that common surfaces outside the home may be contaminated with COVID-19.

The 3 most common signs/symptoms of COVID-19 are: fever, cough, and shortness of breath. Please contact a primary care medical office if you are experiencing any of these symptoms.

Rest assured, your health and safety is our highest priority. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
